What I think about the Instagram controversy

Here are some things you can do as a creator to protect yourself from this change:

1. DIVERSIFY YOUR CHANNELS OF COMMUNICATION. Don’t put all your eggs in any one company’s basket

2. USE EMAIL LISTS. Email isn’t dead! And it’s a great way to connect directly with your fans

3. MAKE BEAUTIFUL RESONANT ART that you care about, and your fans care about. We all have to play the algorithms sometimes, but they can change and great art sticks around forever.
